Miami, Fla. – August 28, 2020 – Magic City Casino will reopen its doors and welcome back guests on Monday, August 31 after nearly two additional months of suspended operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guests and employees can expect to have their temperatures taken, masks to be required, and social distancing to be practiced, among other safeguards, in order to gain entry into the entertainment venue. The casino will operate from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the time being. The Magic City Poker Room and Jai-Alai fronton remain closed.

“Let the games begin again! We are thrilled to be welcoming back our guests as they play safely under our roof. Guests can expect to enjoy themselves in a safe and comfortable environment, as they participate in safety measures intended to keep them healthy,” says Scott Savin, Chief Operating Officer at Magic City Casino. “While we are all adapting to the new rhythm of things, our patrons can feel confident that they will return to the same high level of hospitality and fun they have come to anticipate from our facility.”

In addition to the casino opening to patrons, the Magic City Sports Club is also reopening and offers sports fans large screen TVs and personal TVs for custom viewing. The Sports Club’s operating hours are Monday – Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday – Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. There is a $10 food and beverage minimum per person. Admission requires adherence to posted safety guidelines.

Magic City Jai-Alai launched its third season on May 1 without interruption. Jai-Alai fans can catch the live action from YouTube’s “The Jai-Alai Channel” and wager on the games through sites including Magic City Jai-Alai’s third season also saw the launch of its inaugural fantasy league, which is quickly gaining speed with an average 20% increase in weekly participation.
