Miami, Fla. – December 20, 2021 – Magic City Casino donated $10,000 to community partners over the past week. A donation of $7,500 was awarded to Potentia Academy, a Palm Beach school dedicated to teaching unique learners, and $2,500 in new toys was donated to Children’s Home Society in Miami. Overall, Magic City Casino’s donations to Potentia Academy over the past five years have generated approximately $38,000 to the Greenacres private school, and $8,500 in new toys have been donated to the Children’s Home Society since 2017.
“Magic City Casino is proud to donate to Potentia Academy and to purchase toys for Children’s Home Society, who are both making a big impact in our communities. We applaud Potentia Academy for creating such a positive learning environment enabling their students to flourish, and the Children’s Home Society who is filling such a critical need in the lives of children through the variety of programs they offer,” said Scott Savin, Chief Operating Officer of Magic City Casino.
The donations provided to the two local organizations were generated by “loose change” in the form of vouchers that are collected from the Magic City Casino floor throughout the year. The “loose change” donation program has been donating to local causes and organizations in the community since 2011.
